Program Objectives:
Our Computerized Accounting program is second to none, based on our outstanding job
placement statistics. Students enrolled in this program will obtain a broad knowledge of
accounting operations including: Bookkeeping, Payroll & Banking, Business Mathematics,
Keyboarding, and Microsoft Office software. Students will receive basic instruction in the
procedures that are used to prepare bank deposits, issue checks, maintain a record of
account activities, reconcile a bank statement and do payroll computations. Students will
gather, classify, summarize, and report financial information about a business by means of
an income statement and a balance. Students will demonstrate their ability to integrate a
general journal and general ledger into a computerized accounting system.

Upon completion of the course, graduates would qualify for the following positions:
Accounts Payable, Receivable Clerk, General Accounting Systems Operator, Accounting
Clerk, and Bookkeeper.
